Taking the photographs

Photographing ceramics is very satisfying and capturing Jennifer Ayton’s diverse range of work was certainly that. The form and shadows of the works make for very strong imagery and a pleasing exercise in composing tonal qualities. Varying plinth heights necessitated some deliberate tripod manipulation in considering the fall of light and shadow.
