Taking the photographs

As far as live events go the Be Her Freedom awareness event for women raising awareness about slavery and exploitation was a ‘live’ as they get. Plenty of energy and excitement in the room made for some engaging images of performance, emotion and passion. As a photographer I need to be aware of capturing the event with a professional, non-intrusive presence. This sometimes requires being ready for spontaneous candid shots or anticipating performance for that image which tells a thousand words.
